As sports performance environments become increasingly data-driven, the gap between technology claims and real-world usability continues to narrow. The most meaningful validation of sports technology often comes not from product demonstrations, but from practitioners working inside elite training environments.

At HiG, we recently facilitated an Elite Performance Validation exercise focused on evaluating screen-less wearable technology within India’s high-performance sports ecosystem.

Three performance leaders: shared candid feedback on usability, recovery tracking, athlete compliance, and integration with real training workloads.

The feedback spanned:

  • Athlete wear compliance
  • Auto-session detection under high training loads
  • Sleep and recovery insights
  • Integration of internal and external load markers
  • Accessibility for athletes beyond institutional backing

What stood out was the openness from practitioners to test, critique, and engage — exactly the kind of dialogue that helps the sports technology ecosystem mature.

More structured validation between global technology providers and India’s high-performance environments will be key as adoption accelerates.

We are grateful for the collaboration with Luxury Personified and Polar Electro in enabling this evaluation across elite performance environments.
